Solution Focused Approaches and Substance Misuse
One day course presented by Paul Hanton

organised by:

Yorkshire Solution Focused Brief Therapy Group

Date: 1st April 2008

Aim:

• This course will offer practitioners who are already using solution focused ideas in their work the opportunity to further extend and develop their practice within this particular field

Learning Outcomes:

• Participants will leave with an increased understanding of how solution focused approaches fits with this client group
• Participants will leave with new tools and improved skills in how to apply the approach within this client group

24th June 2008 12.30-4PM

Elsie Whitely Centre, Halifax

This event which is free would aim to:

• Provide peer supervision in the first half whereby people would be invited to bring along case material. May be the reflecting team framework might be used to do this

• In the second part there’d be a discussion on a “preferred future” for such a group which might bring forth new blood for the organization, leading up to the next AGM.
